Geez really. Those little pods are actually pretty hot for a minute or two.

Love my k-cup machine btw. Wish I had one at work.

ferretrick, your story reminds me of one I heard recently from a friend.  She's a Technical Sales Manager for a company who recently hired a Regional Sales Manager (she does not report to him.)

Among the many incredibly boorish behaviors this idiot has, when his coffee cup is empty, he walks around shaking it at all the female employees in the office in the expectation that one of them will get him another cup.  Confused    (Can you even believe that???!!!)   He also has not once called her by her right name.

She was venting to me about him (it was actually quite entertaining) and telling me that the mere sound of his voice makes her blood pressure rise.  I advised her that rather than let him get to her, she just sit back and enjoy the entertainment value as he daily makes an ass of himself.  I heard from her the other day and she said that's exactly what she (and now all the other employees) are doing.  Big%20smile

I adore working with the munchkins...most days. I've been coaching for 17 years now which blows my mind. Those who complain about "teenagers today" have never met my kids. I just got an email from a former munchkin who graduated 5 years ago asking if she can help out with nationals this year as we are hosting. Her email totally made my day. We are expecting about 5,000 attendees. If you were planning to visit Baltimore on memorial Day weekend, you may want to reconsider your travel plans unless you really like teenagers.

Our state qualifying tournament is Saturday and my stomach is already in knots. You'd think after all these years I'd be used to it. Nope.

Hee, Beth.  That's pretty much my strategy too.  I've also perfected the best eye roll in the tri-state area at this point.  :)

My DIL makes peanut butter balls like that. She always makes them huge (maybe the size of a golf ball) but they are so good that before you realize it you've eaten a couple of them, and they are so rich then you kind of just have to sit there and digest for awhile before you even feel like moving!  Yummy!

I have "the look". I guess I was born with it because I remeber getting spanked for using it on my Mom.

My youngest granddaughter was born with "the look" too. I remember the first time she used it, she was only about a year old. My son scolded her because she was jealous that her big sister was cuddling with daddy, so she grabbed a double fistful of big sister's hair and yanked it just as hard as she could. He then put her in her exercise saucer  for a little time out and the next time he spoke to her, she gave him "the look". It was cute back then, not so much now that she's almost 5!

Good luck to you all!

Oh, it's already almost that bad...the two younger girls have already picked up a lot of the looks, eye rolls, and ways of talking that their teenage siblings have. My poor DIL had hoped she would only have to deal with it one or two kids at a time but that was before the little one gave her the look recently and said "Well, duh, mom!"

My nephew has a newborn baby and he is so enamored of her. I told him to get a journal and write down his feelings about her now so when she's a teen and gives him the eye roll's and the I hate you's, he can pull out his journal and remember that precious baby and tell himself, don't kill her, don't kill her.

I survived Saturday with the munchkins. As usual my kiddos were awesome! 3 of my kids placed 2nd in the state (an one of them is in his first year of his event) and I have a 4th who qualified for nationals as well. My newbies who qualified for states held their own in rounds and learned a lot. Can't ask for more than that. I had a small team this year and an inexperienced one, but they really rose to the challenge. It was totally worth 4 hours of practice Friday night then a 4 AM wake up call and 15 hour day. Now on to Nationals!

While I'm not complaining, this is just freaky.  For the past two or three weeks, temperatures here have been highs of 65 - 80 degrees.  Lovely of course and spring is busting out all over - about two months early.  Shocked

Last I heard the weather report, there's no end to this wonderful weather in sight.  Typically around mid-March we're hoping we're not going to get any more major snow storms, and then we inevitably get one or two more.  Very nice but very peculiar.  Cool
