I adore Savannah. I liked Charleston just fine but Savannah is one of my all time favorite places to visit. If the weather were warmer I'd also highly suggest a side trip to Tibey Island. It isn't fancy but it is one of my favorite beaches. Hard not to like porch swings on the beach.

The buses are very convenient for running around Charleston, I liked the flea market, and I really like the plantation just outside of town. Really nice gardens plus a swamp trail to walk.

I think it's Charleston that has the really nice waterfront park with the fountains and they have a boardwalk out over the walk with big swings.

I just had a kind of bad experience in Savannah where I didn't feel really safe at the hotel. Nothing happened it was just a bad vibe and I didn't sleep well.

It's been months since I've had to delete any spam from this board, and now just this weekend I've deleted three spam posts. Are other mods finding the same?

I'm not a mod but I reported two spam posts this weekend.

PS - there was one I wasn't sure of (whether spam) so I didn't report it.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Me too. I deleted three spam posts between Thursday and Friday last week.

I try to suspend them before they get a chance to post their cr*p if I can identify them as spammers by the email address, username or IP address. I'm not on the board often lately, so I guess a few got through.

Help!  An ADP sales rep has "found" me and now I'm being stalked.  Shocked

In the past five days, this guy has left me four voice mails, sent me four emails and repeatedly tried to "friend" me on Linked In.  These folks are just relentless.  We already have as many ADP products as we'll ever want or need.

I suppose I'm going to have to bite the bullet and tell this guy to buzz off.  Apparently my lack of response to all his VM's and emails isn't getting through to him.  Unhappy

Maybe you can get Fred on them?

As a person that makes a living through sales, I try to be very careful about this. My selling is based on relationships and not beating people over the head. (Now if you ever want an option to ADP's multiple databases....)

Fred, I'll send you his name and contact info off-line.  Wink

Tim, I am sensitive to people who make their living doing sales (my sister is one of those folks) but I do have a problem when a sales rep just won't get the message.  This guy is in complete "overkill" mode.

I understand that sometimes in sales persistance pays off, but I feel like so many tiems they are wasting their time with someone totally disinterested when there might be someone else out there who is interested. When they just won't take a polite no for an answer, you almost have to get rude with them to get the point across.

One of my sisters does.  She said she loves it and sent me an invite long ago.  I just haven't had the time to look into it.

One of the ladies I work with absolutely is nuts about it.  I'm going to check it out when she sends me an invite.

The latest social media "it girl" of the week. Think of it as an online bulletin board where you are pinning up photos.

It basically allows you to create a variety of categories ("bulletin boards") on which you can post visual items you like from websites you visit. It will suggest categories (e.g., "Products I Love") or you can create your own.

I am doing it to integrate into my other social media. I am hoping it will drive some organic growth to my other media/webpage. I hate cold calling (I am the anti-ADP guy) so I am hoping to build traffic and business through networking/social media.

I like the concept but find it visually mind-boggling.

Wow, I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it yet. I have friends and family members who I think would be all over that sort of thing!

Tried Pinterest. Have friends who swear by it and are borderline obsessed. Don't get the appeal. It is kind of like scrapbooking your favorites list online.
