OVERVIEW: Ensures that policies and procedures are being followed consistently in order to safeguard the company's assets, verify the accuracy and reliability of its accounting data, and promote adherence to prescribed policies. Evaluates both administrative and accounting controls and prepares reports for the CEO on compliance with company standards and on problems that require strengthening of internal controls to ensure the highest ethical standards are fulfilled.
